Formed by Paul Cook and Steve Jones, The Professionals arrived on the scene in 1979 following the demise of the Sex Pistols, but split just 3 years later. Fast-forward to October 2017 and a new band spearheaded by Paul Cook released their first album of material under the Professionals name in 35 years with the full blessing of founding member Steve Jones.
The album “What In The World” featured heavy praise from critics and were Vive Le Rock Magazines album of the year for 2017. The album features several guest guitar players lending their distinctive sounds including Duff McKagan (Guns n Roses), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Marco Pirroni (Adam and The Ants), Billy Duffy (The Cult) and of course, fellow Professional Steve Jones.
In 2019 the band are busy working on a follow up to What In The World.
