Bengal Lancers have always aimed to write songs to make you think and feel. That much is obvious from their live shows: Moments shared among friends. They’re a band whose fifth member will always be the audience.
Bengal Lancers were founded in Leicester, England, 2012 when Harry Sullivan and Charlie Hawkins decided to scratch the itch and start song writing together whilst studying. What started as a hobby grew into full-blown habit and they soon enlisted the help of Max Hutchins on drums.
Graduation brought about relocation, with Harry heading to the capital, Max to Cambridge and Charlie setting up shop in Leicester, but the song writing never stopped.
2016 saw a change in pace with the addition of Aidan Wickham. As a 4-piece the band were found to reinvent themselves with a bigger sound and bigger aspirations, tackling difficult subjects but always with a sense of optimism.
