FEEDER ANNOUNCED AS HEADLINERS!!

We are thrilled to announce FEEDER as the headliners of this year’s festival! Alongside another 30 bands today confirmed to join the line-up on June 3rd.

With a career including 25 Top 40 hits, over five million record sales, including three Platinum and two Gold albums, FEEDER returned from hiatus last year in tremendous style. Celebrating their highest chart position since 2008 with 9th record ‘All Bright Electric’, the album marks their 7th top 10 charting release, with critics hailing it as the band’s very best.

FEEDER frontman Grant Nicholas has a strong association with Camden, like many bands they started their careers here: “It’s great to be playing Koko again as part of Camden Rocks Festival in my old haunt. I lived in Camden for over ten years and it’s where Feeder got started and played regularly back in the early and mid-nineties. I remember writing many songs like ‘High’ and ‘Just a Day’ in my old flat on Camden Road, and some fun nights at Feet First, the Electric Ballroom and the Underworld. It’s been almost 21 years since the release of Polythene, our first album, but Camden still holds a special place for us.”

Out now via Cooking Vinyl, high praise for ‘All Bright Electric’ came from:

‘Classic, heavy, ambitious Feeder’ THE INDEPENDENT

‘Feeder cement their status as one of the finest rock bands of their generation’ DROWNED IN SOUND

‘Returning from scintillating form, Feeder deliver like never before’ CLASSIC ROCK

‘Feeder have delivered their most prolific work since Yesterday Went Too Soon’ METRO

‘Feeder rediscover their appetite, their attitude, and their bite’ KERRANG

Alongside Feeder, further line-up additions announced today are Camden Rocks faithfuls Turbowolf and The Virginmarys, Desert Mountain Tribe, The Dirty Youth, Reigning Days, Bad Nerves, GOAN DOGS, Reverted, Lock, WIDE EYED BOY, BLANK PARODY, We came from wolves, Tiny Giant, False Heads, VALERAS, Curse of Lono, DAMN DICE, Sleepfire, Panic Island, Matty James, Cassidy, Couples, LILITH AND THE KNIGHT, The RPM’s, Via Dolorosa, Glam Skanks, They, Uncultured, The Luka State, Two Year Break & Nash.

Tickets are £39.50 (subject to booking fee) and available here.

With a further 100 bands still to be announced, this is the most rock and roll bang you’ll find for your buck ANYWHERE.

The Coral and Reverend And The Makers lead third announcement

Today we announce Merseyside’s indie rock legends, The Coral and Sheffield’s Reverend and The Makers, and more will join the 2017 festival line-up!

Dubbed simply “amazing” by the NME in a glowing four star review for their triumphant seventh album ‘Distance Inbetween’ in 2016, The Coral will play an exclusive London performance at Camden Rocks Festival 2017 with a set spanning their platinum-selling back catalogue.

Reverend and The Makers frontman Jon McClure says: “We are looking forward to Camden Rocks! We played it before and it was mega. There’s so many great bands this year, and Camden is always lairy and brilliant. Let’s have it!”. He’s not wrong!

Joining The Coral and Reverend and The Makers in this announcement are Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction, Love Zombies, Asylums, Brawlers, Desert Storm, Scarlett Riot, Flight Brigade, Rews, Duncan Reid and the Big Heads, Empire, Massive Waggons, Gold Key, Last Great Dreamers, THECITYISOURS, Daxx & Roxane, Rival Karma, The SoapGirls, Blackwaters, Only Sun, Toffees, Willow Robinson, IAMWARFACE, Bexatron, Harker Moon, Mama Moonshine, The Muffin Heads, Cavalcade, Will O’Donnell, GØSPEL, Sykes, Sugarmen, Antares and Desperate Measures.

Three years ago at Camden Rocks Festival 2013 he broke his foot jumping off the balcony of the Jazz Cafe, hopefully he’ll come of a little less scathed this year…

“Camden Rocks is the weekend when Camden comes as alive as it ever was and should always be. I’m always proud to be a part of it.” Carl Barat adds. A Camden Rocks Festival wouldn’t be the same without him.

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT! LIMITED EARLY BIRDS ON SALE

Awake from your Christmas party slumber, we’re back with our first announcement for Camden Rocks Festival 2017!

First to be announced out of what will be a 250 band bill are punk legends The Damned, stoner rock giants Orange Goblin, and The Ruts DC. They’ll be joined by Hey! Hello!, The Urban Voodoo Machine, Young Kato, Stone Broken, Big Boy Bloater and the Limits, MOSES, Screaming Eagles, Imperial Leisure, Habitats, The Main Grains, Courage My Love, Black Orchid Empire, MassMatiks, Hands Off Gretel, Fizzy Blood, Broken Witt Rebels, Forte, Stereo Juggernaut, Black Sixteen, Lucie Barat & The Au Revoirs, HVMM, Halflives, Weirds, Frauds, Alana Bondi, Itamar, Oxygen Thief, The Franklys, CUTE CUTE DEΔTH, Heel, The Kut, & Secret Cameras.

Festival Boss Chris McCormack is (literally!) ecstatic to have such a legendary punk band like The Damned playing Camden Rocks Festival this year, especially on what will be the 40th anniversary of Punk. “They were one of the first bands I saw play live up in Newcastle, and a band I’ve seen more than any other – a huge inspiration.” Ahead of their headline set at the Electric Ballroom, The Damned’s Captain Sensible reveals, “Camden Market is partially responsible for the sartorial disaster that is Captain Sensible, as I’ve purchased more stage clobber there than anywhere else. And Camden was punk central in the 70s too so in some respects The Damned playing Camden Rocks is a return to the scene of the crime. We’ll probably time-warp the set list to reflect the 40th Anniversary of punk, so expect a lively one!”

“It must be the most vibrant of local festivals in London,” adds Segs of The Ruts DC “loads of great bands and loads of lovely people bringing even more life to the heart of Camden Town. Having attended, enjoyed and played as guests in various bands over the years, The Ruts DC are very excited to be playing Camden Rocks in 2017 in their own right!”

“Orange Goblin are absolutely chuffed to be a part of Camden Rocks Festival 2017!” vocalist and guitarist Ben Ward adds. “Camden has always been our musical home since the very early days, playing at venues like The Dublin Castle, The Monarch and the old Barfly, right through our career to places that have become like a second home to us, such as The Underworld and The Electric Ballroom. Camden is still the epicentre of the London music scene and Camden Rocks showcases the very best bands from all styles of music. Next June we will be bringing our brand of heavy metal thunder to The Electric Ballroom, along with hundreds of other bands across every venue and turning Camden into THE place to be, again, no matter what your musical tastes may be. See you there!”

As always this year we’ll be bringing you the best high-energy guitar bands we can get our hands on, along with all the best new bands we find through our Camden Rocks Presents shows we put on throughout the year in the lead up. This year we’ve added the legendary Camden venue KOKO to the already sterling line up of Camden venues. 2017 venues include: Koko, Electric Ballroom, Underworld, Camden Market Amphitheatre, Dingwalls, Proud, Camden Assembly, The Black Heart, The Monarch, The Forge, The Crowndale, Dublin Castle, Devonshire Arms, Irish Centre, Dingwalls Canal side, Bloc Bar, Hawley Arms, Good Mixer, Brew Dog, Fifty Five, Be At One & Winnicott.

We’re also over the moon to have The Kraken Rum back on board as our main event partner for Camden Rocks Festival 2017. The Kraken has been responsible for fuelling the bellies of artists and festival goers alike for many a year with the power of the Kraken and an encounter at Camden Rocks Festival would not be the same without them!

THANK YOU, YOU ROCK

We’re just about coming round to recovering from Camden Rocks 2015 and would like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to everyone involved in turning Camden Town in to a mile long trail blaze of live music on Saturday.

200 bands of new and established status who all supported the festival in the run up to the event and gave it every last drop in their performances on the day. Their crew, agents & management teams who often go unrecognised behind the scenes.

The 20 live music venues and their teams who really are just the life blood of Camden Town and work tirelessly to keep Camden buzzing as it should be.

Our own production crew and contractors from stage managers, wristbanders, runners and many more, who all worked above and beyond.

Dr. Martens for being an absolutely legendary headline sponsor – we’re so proud to have been able to partner with an organisation with such long standing support and passion for the British music scene. From getting right behind the festival, to working with bands on the line up and your pop-up van, you absolutely rock.

Kraken Rum for once again bringing the good stuff to Camden Town – their Kraken Stable with in situ artist tattooing Dr. Marten boots, their Kraken Hunter and Krakenette teams running wild all over Camden plying festival goers with speciality Kraken shots and Kraken cocktails are definitely a festival favourite.

And that’s what Camden Rocks Festival is all about – feeding off the musical vibrance that underpins the very bricks and mortar of twenty historical music venues and pubs in Camden Town to provide a day of rock, metal, punk, indie and all out musical mayhem that Camden is so renowned for.
